A new graduate with limited budget. Got a job in a distant city. What are the options for accommodation??

Well I would suggest a few and leave forum members to continue.

Well if he has a number of friends I guess they could put their money together and rent a common apartment close to their new work place. If you are alone you could borrow money from friends to rent an apartment.

Many people also live in their cars until they receive paychecks for a few months. But before you do this make sure it is legal and do choose the right parking spot. Choose a place where you could access showers. The parking lot of your new company might not be bad. There are many accounts of people who lived in their cars after being laid off or evicted. But you have to choose the right car. A windowless delivery van might be ideal. However, you would need to shower each day. The easiest way is to get gym membership. This way every morning you could take a shower in the gym. Churches also have showers. You could even use a swimming pull.
